Over the years we have encountered certain Brides, enviably blessed with angelic voices, who delighted their Grooms and guests by using their musical gifts.
During one unforgettable sun set Blessing Ceremony in Cortona, we were privileged to hear not only a Bride who sang like an angel but also her talented Groom.
Liana and Adam met at Music School in the States and were naturally drawn together by their deep love for their chosen subject, as well as many other things they were pleasantly surprised to learn they shared in common.
‘One Hand, One Heart’ communicated their desire to become a united force.. two unique souls but ultimately one entity joined together in ceremony by the pledging of a melodious vow.
They touchingly communicated their tender love story in the only way two trained singers possibly could.. by performing a beautiful duet from the acclaimed musical ‘West Side Story’ composed by Leonard Bernstein and with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
They sang to one another with empathy, emotional intensity and honesty.. Relationships require the same characteristics. You have to trust one another enough to share your innermost voice and communicate from the heart.. but in a way that is disciplined enough to know when to speak.. and when it is more prudent to remain silent…
Remaining blissfully unaware of the presence of anyone but themselves, Liana and Adam lost themselves in a world of song, whilst maintaining eye contact and vocal control.. how we don’t know!
Thanks to the creative direction and sensitive editing skills of ‘Emotional Movie’ this moment can be appreciated on video by a wider audience.
We hope you are entertained and inspired by the mellifluous performance of a Bride and Groom, who are clearly perfectly in tune with one another.
You can also enjoy the full video, which was filmed over two days in the breathtaking grounds of Villa Ugo and in the atmospheric streets, Theatre and commune of Cortona in Southern Tuscany.
So.. Sit back and enjoy an authentic and heartfelt performance of two song birds in love…
